As people of faith, we have always held the right to vote as a sacred obligation. We mobilized our faith communities in 2024 to help make sure every eligible voter was able to cast their vote. This work paid off as we saw the greatest voter turnout nationwide in US history. That turnout was a great victory for democracy. But there is more work to be done.
Wisconsin Interfaith Voter Engagement Campaign (WIVEC) mobilizes our faith communities to engage in the democratic process. We believe that this work will build increased understanding and stronger ties among different faith communities; increase involvement in the electoral process; and result in a greater understanding of the positive role faith communities can play in the public square. WIVEC is a non-partisan campaign committed to promoting voter engagement, sharing voter education opportunities, resisting voter suppression, and advocating for the rights of all Wisconsinites.

As we head into Election Day, join WIVEC for the final installment of our Faithful Voices in a Critical Hour webinar series — a time to come together, reflect on what we have accomplished, and look ahead to what is next for our faith community and democracy.
We are honored to welcome two powerful voices to this gathering:
Hannah Freeman is a Milwaukee-based organizer with five years of experience working on environmental racism, affordable housing, and immigration. Her passion for this work is rooted in her faith, and she brings both heart and conviction to every room she enters.
Pardeep Singh Kaleka is Clinical Director at Mental Health America–Wisconsin, a senior anti-hate advocate, and co-author of The Gift of Our Wounds. After losing his father in the 2012 Oak Creek Sikh Temple attack, he became a leading voice for community healing, resilience, and faith. With over 25 years of experience across law enforcement, education, and mental health, Pardeep helps communities develop strategies to address conflict, hate, and targeted violence.
This is a moment to pause, connect, and recommit to the work we share as people of faith who believe in the power of every voice and every vote.

Absentee Ballot Return Best Practices
Thanks to the Wisconsin Election Commission for their guidance to voters as they plan how they will cast their ballot ahead of the August and November elections. Early voting begins on Tuesday, July 28!
On July 9, 2026, the Commission unanimously approved the “Absentee Ballot Return Best Practices” for voters to help them understand when, where, and how to return an absentee ballot. Clerks were also issued this guidance.
Vote in every election and make informed choices.
The Midterms are coming up quickly! The partisan primary is August 11 and the General Election is November 3. Early voting for the August 11 primary begins on Tuesday, July 28!
