Volunteer Driver Program

Dane Sanctuary Coalition volunteers provide critically needed rides to government-required hearings and appointments in Milwaukee, Waukegan and Chicago. This is a tremendous service providing both transportation, support and reassurance to nervous, anxious, immigrants.  The volunteer coordinator sends out emails to the list of drivers describing the dates, times, destinations and seeking drivers for specific rides.  Volunteer drivers commit to rides based on their availability – there’s no regular commitment or required minimum number of rides.  The training is simple, quick and virtual. It explains roles and responsibilities of drivers.  This is an incredibly important service that volunteers find very easy and tremendously rewarding.   If you are interested in being a volunteer driver and the training, please email matt@wifaithvoices.org.
