As we prepare for the Wisconsin Spring elections, Wisconsin Interfaith Voter Engagement Campaign (WIVEC), in partnership with Tikkun Ha-Ir, invites you to join us for a meaningful and energizing virtual event exploring the intersection of art, activism, and faith.

Matt Kendziera, Executive Director of Wisconsin Faith Voices for Justice, will share insights on the intersection of art and activism.

  • Pillars of Democracy
Wisconsin-based artist Niki Johnson will discuss her powerful Pillars of Democracy series, exploring how art can illuminate core democratic values and move communities toward action

  • Sacred Song, Civic Action

Take Action

This gathering is more than a conversation—it’s an opportunity to act. Participants will be invited to engage in postcard outreach to community members using original designs created by Niki Johnson, helping to build connection and encourage civic participation across Wisconsin.

No Kings

In America, We Have No Kings.

We are showing up together again on March 28.

When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option. We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence. America does not belong to strongmen, greedy billionaires, or those who rule through fear. It belongs to us, the people.

Communities across the country are gathering together for what will hope to be the largest nonviolent protests in American history. Find your local No Kings event and use your voice to stand up for your community and show the power still belongs to the people

Palm Sunday Path – Madison A Public Liturgy of Witness, Hope & Peace

The Wisconsin Council of Churches, in partnership with faith leaders and community partners from across Wisconsin, are welcoming the community to join them on the The Palm Sunday Path. All are welcome on the path.

The Palm Sunday Path is a growing movement of church leaders and faith communities who believe now is the time for Christians to stand up to rising authoritarianism and white Christian nationalism — by following Jesus more deeply. On Palm Sunday, Christians across denominations will gather for public, prayerful action. Carrying palms from morning worship, we will walk together around Capitol Square, embodying a different vision of power — the way of humility, mercy, and courageous love.

Anchored in the Matthew 25 call to feed the hungry, heal the sick, and welcome the stranger, we follow Jesus to the seat of power to witness to Christ’s reign of justice, peace, and shared belonging.

The gathering will follow a simple liturgical flow:
Gathering & Opening Prayer
Confession & Commitment
Procession with song, scripture, and shared ritual
Blessing & Sending

Following Christ’s inclusive call — across genders, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, nations of origin, abilities, worship styles and traditions — all are welcome on the path.

Please bring:
Palm branches from your morning worship
Comfortable walking shoes
Signs reflecting messages of love, hope, peace, and inclusion

No Kings 3 Interfaith Training

Virtual Training

Faith communities don’t sit on the sidelines. We organize.

No Kings 3 is coming on March 28th, so let’s get ready!! This Wednesday at 6:00 PM CT, Interfaith Alliance is hosting a No Kings 3 Interfaith Training focused on helping you plan a local pre-mobilization interfaith gathering in your community.

This will be a practical, hands-on session. They will talk through how to shape a strong moral message, recruit speakers, coordinate with No Kings 3 local organizers, and support a faith contingent at a protest. They will also cover roles, safety planning, and share key resources — including their gathering guide, songbook, and de-escalation materials.

This training is about moving from concern to coordinated action. Interfaith Alliance’s goal is to equip over 100,000 faith leaders and communities across the country to defend democracy through disciplined, nonviolent action.

No Kings III is about more than a single mobilization. It’s part of a sustained effort to build power, strengthen relationships, and prepare our communities for the challenges ahead — including keeping our people safe and protecting our democracy at the midterms.

Virtual Non-Violent Resistance Training
Jan

Virtual Non-Violent Resistance Training

Interfaith Alliance is dedicated to rallying religious Americans around the message of “Choose Love, Not ICE” – making clear that brutality, repression and mass deportation runs totally counter to our values of compassion and mercy, and our belief in the common dignity and humanity of all people.

Following the horrific killing of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent in Minneapolis, faith communities there and around the country are continuing to show up right now to organize against ICE’s violence and cruelty.

We are committed to supporting nonviolent civil resistance among diverse faith communities around the country. As part of that work, we are offering a virtual training on Monday night at 6pm CST: Answering the Call: Interfaith Nonviolent Civil Resistance 201.

The training builds on the long legacy of faith-led movements for justice and introduces practical frameworks for disciplined, strategic, and morally grounded nonviolent action. Together, participants will explore how people of faith can strengthen democracy, resist authoritarianism, and support one another through collective action rooted in our shared values.

This training is for you if you are:

  • A clergy member, lay leader, or organizer figuring out how you can best lead and organize in  this moment

  • Part of an interfaith or faith-based community committed showing up for democracy and human dignity

  • Looking for the hope that can be found in concrete tools, shared language, and real-world examples of effective nonviolent resistance

The session is part of a broader national campaign to equip and connect interfaith leaders across the country to challenge authoritarianism and ICE cruelty—and participants will have opportunities to stay engaged through future trainings and local collaboration.

Join us as we answer this call together—grounded in faith, guided by conscience, and committed to the work of democracy for all.

In solidarity,

Adam Friedman

Campaigns Director, Interfaith Alliance
